Nicole Neditch

Nicole Neditch is dedicated to designing systems that strengthen our collective infrastructure, promote civic engagement, and participation at the local level. Nicole leads SPUR’s work to build the capacity of local governments to serve the collective good and grow collective prosperity throughout the Bay Area region.

Over the past 20 years she has held several positions in the City of Oakland supporting community based arts and cultural organizations, engaging communities to create more open, equitable and transparent government, leading communications and crisis response work, and championing technology efforts to improve the delivery of government services. As an early member of the leadership team at Code for America, she helped build the civic technology field both in the US and abroad. She has a background as an artist and a small business owner and was one of the original organizers of Oakland's First Friday Artwalk, ArtMurmur.
