Carolyn Chung

Carolyn supports the Public Engagement Team with programming, event logistics, and communications. Prior to joining SPUR, she managed a nonprofit resource center in Oakland, building resource capacity, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. She also worked as an educator in California and Spain. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Sociology and Minor in Education. She studied abroad in Barcelona and she received her M.A. in Bilingual Education at the University of Alcala near Madrid, Spain. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, language learning, and discovering the many things the Bay Area has to offer.
