Nicole Neditch is dedicated to strengthening the collective infrastructure of cities. Nicole leads SPUR’s good governance and economic justice work to support a high-functioning public sector and a thriving economy that delivers economic security and prosperity for all.
Over the past 20 years, she has held several positions in the City of Oakland supporting community-based arts and cultural organizations; engaging communities around more open, equitable and transparent government; leading communications and crisis response work; and championing technology efforts to improve the delivery of government services. As an early member of the leadership team at Code for America, she helped build the civic technology field both in the US and abroad. She is an artist, has owned and operated several small businesses, and was one of the organizers of Oakland's First Friday artwalk, ArtMurmur.
