Young Urbanists Salon Night

Young Urbanists

Join the Young Urbanists for an urban arts salon, featuring work of all media by our city's young "makers": writers, designers, artists, computer geeks and more.

June 23 salon participants include presentations by:

Taco Lab is a hybrid design and engineering firm specializing in interfaces and interactions. Taco Lab works with web applications, physical electronic devices, and systems that merge the two.

REBAR is an art and design collective based in San Francisco. Rebar's work ranges broadly in scale, scope and context, and therefore belies discrete categorization. It is, at minimum, situated in the domains of environmental installation, urbanism and absurdity.

Michelle Tea is much beloved for her writing, her spoken word, and her innovative arts organizing that brought the world Sister Spit, the all-girl open mic event that earned a San Francisco Bay Guardian "Best of the Bay" Award. Her books, mostly memoirs, are known for their views into the "queercore" community.

This event is open to all Young Urbanists, who are each invited to bring one guest. RSVP for you and your guest to [email protected].
