Rising tides: the challenge for city planners

The issue of sea-level rise is one of the main climate challenges faced by city planners today. The Bay Conservation and Development Commission held an international design competition for ideas responding to sea-level rise in San Francisco and other cities. BCDC's Brad McCrea, manager of the competition, talks about the impetus for the competition while also highlighting some of the most compelling entires.
