Trade-offs in Regional Growth

Lunchtime Forum

The Bay Area is in the midst of selecting a preferred regional growth scenario — identifying places for future jobs and homes and the transportation investment to link them. What will it take to realize these scenarios? How do they differ and what assumptions underlie them? What are the trade-offs between growing in one part of the region versus another? What is proposed for San Francisco and how is that received? Join us for a presentation and discussion of the alternative scenarios of the Bay Area's first Sustainable Communities Strategy. With Ken Kirkey and Miriam Chion from the Association of Bay Area Governments, Tilly Chang from the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, and Steve Wertheim from the San Francisco Planning Department.
