European cities have leveraged their deindustrialization to address the demands of growth and modernization. What lessons can they teach San Francisco’s Central Corridor Project, which aims to do the same in the central part of SoMa? What are the practical applications in terms of housing policy, economics and jobs, governance, architecture, transportation and overall quality-of-life?
