Three major pieces of transportation infrastructure — I-280, Caltrain and the future California High Speed Rail — adjoin in Mission Bay and SoMa. The San Francisco Planning Department has been studying ways to re-envision these important facilities so that local and regional transportation, and the neighborhoods surrounding them, are improved the same time.
