San Francisco's India Basin Shoreline Park, the only natural area within the city's park network that borders the Bay, is a hidden gem waiting to be polished. A new design competition, organized by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and the Trust for Public Land, and supported by a donation from Build Inc., seeks to do that by creating a public space that balances the area's postindustrial context with access, social equity, recreation, resiliency and habitat. Come hear from the five finalist teams about their visions for this diamond in the rough.
