This spring, the City of Oakland adopted a new impact fee on residential development in order to pay for affordable housing and transportation improvements, among other public benefits. How will this affect the city’s housing market, and how will we know if it’s working as intended? Hear how this new fee may improve what we love about Oakland while also keeping it affordable.
