The Right Role for Technology in Cities

Lunchtime Forum

Since the beginning of urbanization, cities have been built based upon the technology available at the time. From aquaducts to telephone wires, these advances have enabled cities to expand, both physically and economically, while helping to improve the lives of their residents. Technology is not a panacea, however, and must be seen as a tool rather than a means to an end. Join entrepreneur, author, investor and former government official Gabe Klein for a discussion about how technology can create incredible opportunities to remake our cities, while simultaneously providing enormous benefits for its citizens. Generously sponsored by Island Press.
