A new urban farm has sprouted in West Oakland. City Slicker Farms has transformed a 1.4-acre vacant lot into the West Oakland Farm Park, with a large community garden, an orchard, a playground surrounded by edible plantings, a nutrition demo zone and a chicken coop. Join us for a guided tour of the new space and stick around afterward to get your hands in the dirt. Generously sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
