In early 2017, San Jose experienced its worst flooding in a century. After record rainfall, Coyote Creek overflowed its banks, deluging neighborhoods, flooding hundreds of homes and requiring the evacuation of thousands of residents. Hear from the city’s new head of emergency management about what the city has learned from this tragic occurrence and the processes it’s undertaken to prevent flooding of that magnitude from happening again.
