Over the past several years, development proposals have started to mirror growing public demand for concentrated development near transit and they have provided a greater range of community benefits. With the passage of state Assembly Bill 2923, BART can now more easily develop housing on the parking lots it owns near stations.
The Unity Council invites SPUR business members in exploring the challenges and opportunities that cities, developers and transit agencies face as they build transit-oriented developments at BART stations in the Bay Area. Speakers include:
Moderator: Chris Iglesias / The Unity Council
+Abigail Thorne-Lyman / BART
+Ener Chiu / East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation
+Patrick Kennedy / Panoramic Interests
+Thomas Liao / City of San Leandro Community Development Department
RSVP by reserving tickets through Eventbrite. This event is for SPUR business members.
