Given the changing public health guidance in the Bay Area, which includes recommendations from both Santa Clara and San Francisco Counties, SPUR is suspending its in-person public programming events. During this time, public programs will be postponed, canceled or converted into a webinar on an event-by-event basis. To ensure that you’re able to have the experience as originally intended, we’ve chosen to postpone this event and are working to find a new date. In late 2019, LA Metro released Understanding How Women Travel, a groundbreaking, first-of-its kind study that tracked how women used public transit across Los Angeles County. While the report confirmed much of what we already know--differences in mobility needs, travel patterns and commute demands, as well as safety concerns--the incredible depth of data that it collected helped to illuminate a clear path forward for the agency. Learn more about the report and its influence on Bay Area transit providers. Co-presented by the UC Berkeley Institute of Transportation Studies, the UC Berkeley Department of City + Regional Planning, the Berkeley Infrastructure Initiative and WTS. Generously sponsored by TransitCenter.
