The world is changing rapidly. It has been a month of uncertainty for many Bay Area workers facing state and local stay-at-home orders, and increasing restrictions on construction sites have escalated rapidly.
After the region's existing shelter in place order was extended and updated, some construction projects previously deemed “essential” have been halted, and city leaders say some of the largest projects in the region will be delayed. The updated order only allows work on certain public works projects, health care facilities, shelters and housing developments.
Join SPUR for a discussion with our region's leaders about the future of construction and real estate during COVID-19. Please RSVP via Eventbrite.
Speakers:
+ Judson True, Director of Housing Delivery, City and County of San Francisco
+ Rosalynn Hughey, Director at Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement, City of San José
+ William Gilchrist, Director at Department of Planning and Building, City of Oakland
