Participating in a democracy is about much more than standing alone in a booth or mailing in a piece of paper. Whether it’s trying to solve problems created by previous generations, tackling issues unique to the future or fighting to lower the voting age, Americans under 18 are fueling discourse and making real change across the country. Activism is alive and well in the hearts and minds of youth leaders whose voices speak for a generation wrought with crises from climate change to gun violence to economic inequality. Listening to the voices at the intersection of these emergencies, you’ll find a common theme: the time to act is now! Join us for a discussion of the concerns of this generation, what they’ve learned from those past and the responsibilities of older Americans for shaping the future that they’ll leave behind.
