Join SPUR for a historic ride on the world’s first 100% zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell ferry. The MV Sea Change is powered entirely by clean hydrogen and is a game-changer in the maritime industry, emitting only water vapor—some of which is even converted into drinkable water onboard. Experience this cutting-edge, eco-friendly technology firsthand and be part of a global milestone in reducing greenhouse gases and improving air quality. Join us for a glimpse into the future of green transportation, driven by innovation and collaboration between public and private sector leaders.
The Sea Change is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment, particularly in disadvantaged communities. This six-month demonstration, supported by SWITCH Maritime, Chevron New Energies, and more, is a key step in California’s ambitious climate goal.
Ferry will leave from Pier 41 near Fisherman’s Wharf at 4:30pm
