Join Randy Shaw, longtime activist and Executive Director of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic, and Katie Conry, Director of the Tenderloin Museum, for an in-depth conversation about the future of San Francisco’s historic Tenderloin neighborhood. This area, once considered a center of vibrant arts, activism, and culture, has faced immense challenges in recent years, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion will delve into how the Tenderloin can regain the momentum it was building prior to the pandemic, and what role local and city government should play in the neighborhood's revitalization.

In addition to the discussion, Randy Shaw’s book, "The Tenderloin: Sex, Crime and Resistance in the Heart of San Francisco," will be available for sale at the event. This book provides an insightful, firsthand account of the Tenderloin’s rich history and the ongoing struggles of its residents.
