SPUR Supports Mayor Breed's Proposed Soda Tax Allocation and Provides Comment on the Allocation Process

SPUR supports the Mayor's fiscal year 2019-2021 proposed soda tax revenue allocation. The proposed allocations support equity, healthy eating and active living. SPUR recommends that future requests for funding are brought to the Sugary Drink Distributor Advisory Committee for deliberation as outlined in the 2016 legislation to support transparency and carry out the intent of the voters.
