As part of its forward-looking Regional Strategy, SPUR and AECOM, along with a taskforce of community stakeholders in San Francisco, San José and Oakland, identified seven key sites spread across the Bay Area’s three central cities that are prime opportunities to tackle major regional challenges through local planning processes. Ranging from open space gems like the Guadalupe River Park to transit-rich development locations like the Oakland Coliseum, the ‘Bigger Pictures’ developed for each site envision a fully-realized and brighter future. Come learn about the process behind selecting each location and explore a possible future for some of our region’s most underutilized and underappreciated assets.
